Hypnotherapy for Overcoming Fears and Phobias
Client Testimonial
From arachnophobe to office hero!
I had a number of sessions to combat my lifelong fear of spiders. Geraldine made me feel comfortable and the sessions were very relaxing. I was dubious as to whether any lasting change could be made to my fear of spiders as I could not be in a room with one and I thought it would be too ingrained a fear to overcome. Well, just recently a spider had made its way into the office where I work and not one person would go anywhere near it. So I took a deep breath, grabbed a glass and a piece of paper and safely moved the spider outside to freedom. I was taken aback to be honest as there's no way I would have done that before my sessions with Geraldine.

Conquer your fears and phobias
Do you have a fear or phobia that is limiting your life?
Fears are a natural part of life, they are a signal that something might be dangerous. However, phobias aren’t just ordinary fears, they can generate intense overwhelming reactions such as panic and distress. activating the fight, flight, and freeze response deep in your subconscious brain, your inner protector, that can leave you feeling terrified at even the thought of coming into contact with the subject of your phobia. Phobias can cause us to go to great lengths to avoid situations or triggers that bring about this overwhelming and sometimes debilitating response.
The brain reinforces fear in phobias by engaging in a process aimed at keeping you safe. It usually starts with an initial trigger event, which could be a seemingly mundane incident from your childhood. Following this event, the brain closely monitors your reactions and responses.
If, in response to the trigger event, you choose to run away or freeze, and nothing harmful happens to you, the brain interprets this as a successful protective action. It concludes that it has effectively shielded you from potential harm. As a result, the brain learns from this experience and adapts its approach accordingly in the future.
However, it is important to note that each time this cycle repeats itself, the fear associated with the phobia becomes further reinforced. The brain follows a feedback loop, telling itself that running away or freezing is the correct response for avoiding danger. This continuous reinforcement perpetuates the fear response, making it more intense and deeply ingrained over time.
Phobias can be about anything. There are more than 400 recorded phobias. Some of the most common phobias include:
Arachnophobia - Fear of spiders (the number one phobia) Imagine now finding the spider phobia cure you’ve been looking for.

Imagine flying without freaking out. Where will you go.
